1.1
We are pleased that you are visiting our website and thank you for your interest. In the following, we inform you about how we handle your personal data when you use our website. Personal data includes all data that can be used to personally identify you.
1.2

The controller for processing personal data is the natural or legal person who, alone or jointly with others, decides on the purposes and means of processing personal data.
1.3
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of personal data and other confidential content (e.g., orders or inquiries sent to the controller), this website uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the “https://” prefix and the lock symbol in your browser’s address bar.
2) DATA COLLECTION WHEN VISITING OUR WEBSITE
If you use our website for informational purposes only, meaning you do not register or otherwise transmit information to us, we only collect the data your browser transmits to our server (so-called “server log files”).
When you visit our website, we collect the following data, which is technically necessary for us to display the website to you:

The website you visited

Date and time of access
-
Amount of data sent in bytes

The data will not be shared or used in any other way. However, we reserve the right to retrospectively check server log files if there are concrete indications of unlawful use.
3) COOKIES
To make visiting our website attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, we use cookies on various pages. Cookies are small text files stored on your device.
Some of the cookies we use are deleted after the browser session ends, i.e., after you close your browser (session cookies). Other cookies remain on your device and allow us or our partner companies (third-party cookies) to recognize your browser on your next visit (persistent cookies).
When cookies are set, they collect and process certain user information such as browser and location data, as well as IP address values. Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a specified period, which varies depending on the cookie.
In some cases, cookies simplify the ordering process by saving settings (e.g., remembering the contents of a virtual shopping cart for a later visit).
If personal data is also processed through cookies we implement, processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for the performance of a contract or in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR to safeguard our legitimate interests in the best possible functionality of the website and a customer-friendly and efficient website experience.
We may work with advertising partners who help us make our online offering more interesting for you. In this case, cookies from partner companies (third-party cookies) may also be stored on your hard drive when you visit our website.
If we cooperate with such advertising partners, you will be informed individually and separately within the sections below about the use of these cookies and the scope of the data collected in each case.
Please note that you can configure your browser to inform you when cookies are being set, to decide individually whether to accept them, or to exclude the acceptance of cookies in certain cases or in general. 4) CONTACTING US
When you contact us (e.g., via contact form or email), personal data is collected. The specific data collected in the case of a contact form can be seen from the respective contact form. This data is stored and used exclusively for the purpose of responding to your inquiry or for contacting you and the related technical administration.
The legal basis for processing the data is our legitimate interest in responding to your request in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. If your contact aims at concluding a contract, the additional legal basis for processing is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Your data will be deleted once your inquiry has been fully processed, provided that no statutory retention obligations apply and it can be inferred from the circumstances that the matter has been conclusively resolved.
5) DATA PROCESSING WHEN OPENING A CUSTOMER ACCOUNT AND FOR CONTRACT PROCESSING
In accordance with Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, personal data is collected and processed if you provide it to us for the purpose of performing a contract or opening a customer account. The data collected can be seen from the respective input forms.
You may delete your customer account at any time by sending a message to the address of the controller listed above. We store and use the data you provide to process the contract.
After complete execution of the contract or deletion of your customer account, your data will be blocked with regard to tax and commercial retention periods and deleted after these periods have expired, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or unless we are legally permitted to further use the data, about which we inform you below.
6) USE OF YOUR DATA FOR DIRECT ADVERTISING
6.1 Registration for our email newsletter
If you subscribe to our email newsletter, we will regularly send you information about our offers. The only mandatory information required to receive the newsletter is your email address. Any additional data you provide is optional and is used to address you personally.
We use the so-called double opt-in procedure for sending the newsletter. This means we will only send you a newsletter when you have expressly confirmed that you consent to receiving it. We will then send you a confirmation email asking you to confirm your wish to receive the newsletter by clicking a corresponding link.
By activating the confirmation link, you give us your consent to use your personal data in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
When you register for the newsletter, we store the IP address assigned by your Internet Service Provider (ISP), as well as the date and time of registration, in order to trace any possible misuse of your email address at a later point.
The data collected during newsletter registration is used exclusively for promotional purposes via the newsletter. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the link provided in each newsletter or by sending a message to the controller named above. After unsubscribing, your email address will be immediately deleted from our newsletter distribution list unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we reserve a legally permitted further data usage, as explained in this declaration.
6.2 Sending email newsletters to existing customers
If you have provided us with your email address when purchasing goods or services, we reserve the right to regularly send you offers for similar goods or services from our range by email. For this, we do not need separate consent from you.
The processing of data takes place solely based on our legitimate interest in personalized direct advertising in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
If you initially objected to the use of your email address for this purpose, we will not send you any emails. You are entitled to object to the future use of your email address for the above-mentioned advertising purpose at any time by notifying the controller named at the beginning. You will only incur transmission costs according to the basic rates.
After receiving your objection, the use of your email address for advertising purposes will be stopped immediately.
7) DATA PROCESSING FOR ORDER HANDLING
7.1
The personal data we collect is passed on to the transport company commissioned with the delivery as part of contract processing, insofar as this is necessary for the delivery of the goods. Your payment data will be forwarded to the commissioned financial institution as part of the payment process, insofar as this is necessary for payment handling. If payment service providers are used, we explicitly inform you about this below. The legal basis for the transfer of data is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
7.2 Use of Payment Service Providers
– PayPal
If payment is made via PayPal, credit card via PayPal, direct debit via PayPal, or—if offered—“purchase on account” or “installment payment” via PayPal, your payment data will be forwarded to PayPal (Europe) S.a.r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22-24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg (“PayPal”), as part of the payment processing.
The transfer takes place in accordance with Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR and only insofar as it is necessary for payment processing.
For the payment methods credit card via PayPal, direct debit via PayPal, or—if offered—“purchase on account” or “installment payment,” PayPal reserves the right to carry out a credit check. For this purpose, your payment data may be forwarded to credit agencies according to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR on the basis of PayPal’s legitimate interest in determining your creditworthiness.
The result of the credit check regarding the statistical probability of default is used by PayPal to decide whether the respective payment method can be provided. The credit report may contain probability values (so-called score values). If score values are included, they are based on a scientifically recognized mathematical-statistical process. Address data, among other factors, is included in the calculation.
Further data protection information, including information on the used credit agencies, can be found in PayPal’s privacy policy:
https://www.paypal.com/de/webapps/mpp/ua/privacy-full
You may object to this processing of your data at any time by notifying PayPal. However, PayPal may still be entitled to process your personal data if necessary for proper contractual payment handling.
– SOFORT
If you choose the payment method “SOFORT,” payment processing is carried out through the payment service provider SOFORT GmbH, Theresienhöhe 12, 80339 Munich, Germany (“SOFORT”), to whom we transmit the information provided by you during the ordering process, along with data regarding your order, in accordance with Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
SOFORT GmbH is part of the Klarna Group (Klarna Bank AB (publ), Sveavägen 46, 11134 Stockholm, Sweden). Your data is transferred solely for the purpose of payment processing and only insofar as required.
Further information on SOFORT’s privacy policy can be found here:

8) CONTACT FOR REVIEW REMINDERS
Internal Review Reminder (no dispatch via customer review system)
We use your email address to send a one-time reminder to leave a review of your order for the review system we use, provided that you have expressly consented to this during or after your order in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
You may revoke your consent at any time by sending a message to the controller responsible for data processing.
9) USE OF SOCIAL MEDIA: SOCIAL PLUGINS

9.2 Google+ Plugins Using the Shariff Solution
Our website uses so-called social plugins (“plugins”) of the Google+ social network, operated by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”).
To enhance the protection of your data when visiting our website, these buttons are not fully integrated as plugins but are embedded only using an HTML link. This ensures that when a page containing such buttons is accessed, no direct connection to Google+ servers is established.
If you click the button, a new browser window opens and loads the Google+ page, where you can (possibly after entering your login details) interact with the plugins there.
Google LLC, located in the USA, is certified under the EU–U.S. Privacy Shield, ensuring compliance with EU data protection standards.
For information on the purpose and scope of data collection, further processing and use of the data by Google, as well as your rights and privacy settings, please refer to Google’s privacy policy:

10) ONLINE MARKETING
10.1 DoubleClick by Google
This website uses the online marketing tool DoubleClick by Google, operated by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“DoubleClick”).
DoubleClick uses cookies to display relevant ads to users, improve reports on campaign performance, and prevent users from seeing the same ads multiple times. Using a cookie ID, Google records which ads appear in which browser and can thus prevent repeated display.
Processing is based on our legitimate interest in optimally marketing our website, pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
DoubleClick can also use cookie IDs to track so-called conversions related to ad requests—for example, when a user sees a DoubleClick ad and later visits the advertiser’s website with the same browser and makes a purchase. According to Google, DoubleClick cookies do not contain personal information.
Due to the marketing tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection to Google’s servers. We have no control over the scope and further use of the data Google collects through this tool and can only inform you to the best of our knowledge:
By integrating DoubleClick, Google receives information that you have accessed the relevant section of our website or clicked on an ad. If you are registered with a Google service, Google may associate your visit with your account. Even if you are not registered or logged in, Google may still obtain and store your IP address.
If you want to object to this tracking, you can disable cookies for conversion tracking by setting your browser to block cookies from the domain www.googleadservices.com:
https://www.google.de/settings/ads
(Note: this setting will be erased if you delete your cookies.)
Alternatively, you can learn about cookie settings and manage preferences through the Digital Advertising Alliance:
www.aboutads.info
You can also configure your browser to notify you about cookies, allow them only individually, or disable them entirely. If you do not accept cookies, the functionality of our website may be limited.
Google LLC is certified under the EU–U.S. Privacy Shield, ensuring compliance with EU data protection requirements.
Further information on DoubleClick’s privacy practices can be found here:
https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/
10.2 Use of Google AdWords Conversion Tracking
This website uses the online advertising program Google AdWords and, within Google AdWords, the conversion tracking service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”).
We use Google AdWords to draw attention to our attractive offers on external websites using Google ads. We can determine how successful individual advertising measures are relative to campaign data. Our aim is to show you advertising relevant to your interests, make our website more engaging, and ensure a fair calculation of advertising costs.
A conversion-tracking cookie is placed when a user clicks on an AdWords advertisement. Cookies are small text files stored on your device. These cookies typically expire after 30 days and do not personally identify users.
If a user visits certain pages on our site while the cookie is still active, Google and we can recognize that the user clicked the ad and was redirected to that page.
Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie; cookies cannot be tracked across AdWords customers’ websites.
The information collected via the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers who use conversion tracking. Customers learn the total number of users who clicked their ad and were redirected to a conversion-tagged page. They do not receive information that personally identifies users.
If you do not want to participate in tracking, you can block this by disabling the Google conversion-tracking cookie in your browser settings. You will then not be included in the conversion statistics.
We use Google AdWords based on our legitimate interest in targeted advertising, pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Google LLC, based in the USA, is certified under the EU–U.S. Privacy Shield, which ensures compliance with data protection standards applicable in the EU.
Further information about Google’s privacy policies can be found at the following web address: https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/
You can permanently disable cookies for ad preferences by configuring your browser software accordingly or by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at:
https://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin?hl=de
Please note that certain functions of this website may not function or may only function to a limited extent if you deactivate the use of cookies.
11) WEB ANALYTICS SERVICES
Google (Universal) Analytics – Google Universal Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”).
Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies,” which are text files stored on your computer that enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including your truncated IP address) is generally transmitted to and stored on a Google server in the USA.
This website uses Google Analytics solely with the extension “_anonymizeIp()”, which ensures anonymization of the IP address by shortening it and excludes direct personal identification. Through this extension, your IP address is shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. In these exceptional cases, processing occurs according to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR based on our legitimate interest in statistical analysis of user behavior for optimization and marketing purposes.
Google will use this information on our behalf to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity, and provide other services related to website and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser within Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.
You can prevent cookies from being stored by adjusting your browser settings; however, please note that in this case you may not be able to fully use all functions of this website. You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie related to your use of the website (incl. your IP address) by Google as well as the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at:
https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de
Alternatively to the browser plug-in, or within browsers on mobile devices, please click the following link to set an opt-out cookie, which will prevent the collection of your data by Google Analytics on this website in the future (this opt-out cookie works only in this browser and only for this domain; if you delete your cookies in this browser, you must click this link again):
Deactivate Google Analytics
Google LLC, based in the USA, is certified under the EU–U.S. Privacy Shield, which ensures compliance with EU data protection standards.
This website also uses Google Analytics for cross-device analysis of visitor behavior carried out via a User-ID. When a page is first accessed, the user is assigned a unique, permanent, and anonymized ID that is set across devices. This allows interaction data from different devices and sessions to be assigned to a single user. The User-ID does not contain personal data nor transmits such data to Google.
You may object to the collection and storage of data via the User-ID at any time with effect for the future. To do so, you must disable Google Analytics on all systems you use—for example, in another browser or on your mobile device.
Deactivation can be carried out using the browser plug-in from Google (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de).
Alternatively, you can click the following link to set an opt-out cookie that will prevent data collection on this website by Google Analytics in the future (works only in this browser and only for this domain; if you delete your cookies, you must click the link again):
Deactivate Google Analytics
Further information on Universal Analytics can be found here:
https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/2838718?hl=de&ref_topic=6010376
12) RETARGETING / REMARKETING / RECOMMENDATION ADVERTISING
Facebook Custom Audience via Pixel Method
This website uses the “Facebook Pixel” from Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA (“Facebook”). With explicit consent, this allows the behavior of users to be tracked after they have viewed or clicked on a Facebook advertisement. This method helps evaluate the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes and can help optimize future advertising measures.
The collected data is anonymous to us, meaning it does not allow us to identify users personally. However, the data is stored and processed by Facebook, allowing a connection to the respective user profile, and Facebook may use the data for its own advertising purposes in accordance with the Facebook Data Usage Policy:
https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/
Facebook and its partners may thereby enable advertising to be displayed on and outside of Facebook. A cookie may also be stored on your computer for these purposes.
These processing activities occur only with explicit consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
Consent to use the Facebook Pixel may only be given by users over the age of 13. If you are younger, please ask your legal guardians for permission.
Facebook Inc., based in the USA, is certified under the EU–U.S. Privacy Shield, which ensures compliance with EU data protection standards.
To disable the use of cookies on your computer, you can configure your internet browser to prevent cookies from being placed in the future or to delete already stored cookies. Disabling all cookies may cause some functions on our website to no longer work.
You can also disable the use of cookies by third-party providers such as Facebook on the Digital Advertising Alliance website:
https://www.aboutads.info/choices/
Google AdWords Remarketing
Our website uses the features of Google AdWords Remarketing. This allows us to advertise this website in Google search results as well as on third-party websites. The provider is Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). For this purpose, Google places a cookie on the browser of your device, which automatically enables interest-based advertising by means of a pseudonymous cookie ID and on the basis of the pages you have visited. The processing is carried out on the basis of our legitimate interest in the optimal marketing of our website in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Further data processing only takes place if you have agreed with Google that your internet and app browsing history may be linked by Google to your Google account and that information from your Google account may be used to personalize ads you see on the web. If you are logged into Google during your visit to our website and you have given this consent, Google will use your data together with Google Analytics data to create and define target audience lists for cross-device remarketing. For this purpose, your personal data will temporarily be linked by Google with Google Analytics data in order to create target groups.
You can permanently disable the setting of cookies for advertising preferences by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link:
https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/
Alternatively, you may visit the website of the Digital Advertising Alliance at www.aboutads.info to learn about cookie settings and manage your preferences. You can also configure your browser to notify you when cookies are set and to allow cookies only in individual cases, to exclude the acceptance of cookies for specific cases, or to generally prevent them. If cookies are not accepted, the functionality of our website may be limited.
Google LLC, based in the USA, is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield, which ensures compliance with the level of data protection applicable in the EU.

13) Rights of the Data Subject
13.1 The applicable data protection law grants you comprehensive rights concerning the processing of your personal data by the controller (“data subject rights”), which we inform you about below:
Right of Access (Art. 15 GDPR):
You have the right to obtain information about your personal data processed by us, the purposes of processing, the categories of personal data processed, the recipients or categories of recipients to whom your data has been or will be disclosed, the planned storage period or the criteria for determining that period, the existence of rights to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection to processing, the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, the origin of your data if it was not collected from you, the existence of automated decision-making including profiling, meaningful information about the logic involved, and the significance and intended consequences of such processing for you, as well as information about the safeguards under Art. 46 GDPR if your data is transferred to third countries.
Right to Rectification (Art. 16 GDPR):
You have the right to obtain the immediate correction of any inaccurate personal data concerning you and/or to have incomplete data stored by us completed.
Right to Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR):
You have the right to request the erasure of your personal data if the conditions of Art. 17(1) GDPR are met. This right does not apply, in particular, where processing is necessary for exercising the right to freedom of expression and information, for fulfilling a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest, or for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.
Right to Restriction of Processing (Art. 18 GDPR):
You have the right to request restriction of processing of your personal data if the accuracy of the data is contested and is being verified, if you refuse deletion due to unlawful processing and instead request restricted use, if we no longer need the data for its original purpose but you require it for legal claims, or if you have objected due to reasons relating to your particular situation while it is being assessed whether our legitimate grounds override yours.
Right to Notification (Art. 19 GDPR):
If you have exercised your right to rectification, erasure, or restriction of processing, the controller is obligated to notify all recipients to whom the personal data has been disclosed, unless this proves impossible or involves disproportionate effort. You have the right to be informed about these recipients.
Right to Data Portability (Art. 20 GDPR):
You have the right to receive your personal data that you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, or request transmission to another controller, where technically possible.
Right to Withdraw Consent (Art. 7(3) GDPR):
You have the right to withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. Upon withdrawal, we will delete the affected data unless further processing is permitted based on a legal ground that does not require consent. The withdrawal does not affect the legality of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
Right to Lodge a Complaint (Art. 77 GDPR):
If you believe that the processing of your personal data violates the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, without prejudice to other administrative or judicial remedies—particularly in the EU member state of your residence, workplace, or the location of the alleged violation.
13.2 Right to Object
IF WE PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA BASED ON OUR LEGITIMATE INTERESTS, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME, ON GROUNDS RELATING TO YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION, TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA WITH EFFECT FOR THE FUTURE.
If you exercise your right to object, we will stop processing your data. However, further processing is reserved if we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that outweigh your interests, rights, and freedoms, or if the processing serves the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.
IF YOUR PERSONAL DATA IS PROCESSED BY US FOR DIRECT MARKETING PURPOSES, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR DATA FOR SUCH ADVERTISING PURPOSES.
You may exercise your objection as described above.
If you exercise your right to object, we will cease processing your data for direct marketing purposes.
14) DURATION OF STORAGE OF PERSONAL DATA
The length of time that personal data is stored is determined by the applicable statutory retention period (e.g., commercial and tax-law retention periods). After this period expires, the corresponding data is routinely deleted, provided it is no longer required for fulfilling a contract or initiating a contract and/or there is no legitimate interest on our part in continuing to store it.
